Clark Baim, PhD (UKCP registered psychodrama psychotherapist) is the Director of the Birmingham Institute for Psychodrama and a registered Senior Trainer and Clinical and Training Supervisor with the British Psychodrama Association. He served as the Honorary President of the British Psychodrama Association (2017-2022) and is a recipient of the BPA's Lifetime Achievement Award (2018) and the David Kipper Scholar's Award from the American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama.
Clark co-founded the Birmingham Institute for Psychodrama with Susie Taylor in 2008. He has facilitated psychodrama workshops and staff training in 34 countries and in more than 300 institutions and organisations. He has presented keynote talks and workshops at more than 100 conferences worldwide. Clark has published widely on topics including psychodrama, applied theatre, offender rehabilitation, attachment theory and co-working. Among these publications, he co-edited Psychodrama: Advances in Theory and Practice, published by Routledge in 2007.
A native of Chicago, Clark settled in Birmingham, UK in the 1980s, where he established and served as the first Director of Geese Theatre UK, a company specialising in rehabilitative drama with offenders. In addition to his other work, Clark served as a Lead National Trainer for the Probation Service's sexual offending programmes in the UK from 2000-2012.
